123 Challenge Blog Hop hop hop

If you have arrived here it’s because you have jumped on the 123 Challenge blog-train!!!

First of all, Charmane has asked us to answer a couple of questions to let you all know a bit MORE about us Creative Team Members. So here we go…

A bit about me
My name is Giovanna Scott, I am 42, and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I’m married to my husband (always a good idea) and we have 2 boys, Mackinley (10) and Rainer (8).

What’s your blog addy?
My blog is contained in my NEW WEBSITE at
www.giovannascott.com
just click on the BLOG TAB at the top. If you used to follow my old blog SHE’S GOT ISSUES, I would love you to join and follow me with this blog.

Are you on any Website Design Teams?
I’m a Design Diva for the Australian magazine Scrapbook Creations.

I have done a heap of Guest spots and special projects for a few DTs, which fits into my life a little better than a full-time spot.

Are you on any other Creative Team Blog Challenges?
Again, I’m not on any other Challenge blogs except 123 Challenge. And once again, have done some guest gigs.

What else are you involved in creatively and how/where/when did you get involved?
I have steered away from traditional scrapbooking this year, although it’s probably been a few years in the making.

Initially I did an Art Journal workshop with Vivian Bonder quite a few years ago and fell in love with the process. Then did an Art Corps with the Gutsy Girls (Ngaire Bartlam and Jilly van Ip) last year and really leapt into the crazy world of mixed media. From there I did a couple of mixed media and art journal workshops with Christy Tomlinson.

My influences between these workshops are wide and wonderful and am grateful for the confidence these ladies have instilled in me.

I have an online class STRENGTH AND BEAUTY  (see sidebar) which encompases all these wonderful artists’ techniques (and a few of my own) which you can sign up to any time and the class is open indefinitely. A big plus!!!

What are you working on at the moment?
I am working on another series of mixed media canvases called the “Runway Series”. Here’s a peek. They are all based on magazine adverts so the guys and girls have a little bit of attitude. I’ll be launching this lot at The Handmade Markets at Ipswich on 15th October. Come visit if you’re nearby and say helloooo!!!!

I am taking a painting class with The Land of Lost Luggage (Julie Prichard and Cathy Cozen from the USA). It’s a good thing there is no deadline for this online class LOL.

There is the latest Reader Challenge by my fave mixed media mag – ClothPaperScissors.

Oh, and I’m also working on the 123 Challenge for October.

So there’s a little about ME, now its time for the 123 Challenge details!
We have LOTS of prizes to giveaway – you will see as you check out everyone’s blogs what we have in store!
Here is what I’m giving away!!!!
It’s a gallery-width mixed media canvas (15x15cm) featuring Charm’s Creations Lovely Lollipops!!!

  1. Wow! I’ve not been scrapbooking/card making for very long…. but it’s amazing where the journey takes you, as I can see from where you are at the moment. It’s a great world, especially the online one, I’m discovering:):) Toot-toot!

What are you thinking?
