When the curbside collection furnishes your house because you've just moved from your family home and there's not a lot of "surplus" furniture to get you started. I recall driving through neighbourhoods and finding the most odd items leaning against fences with TAKE ME - I'M FREE scrawled in Nikko. We thought we were getting a bargain, but we unconsciously reused and recycled before it became a "thing". So cheers to the dumpers and collectors. You singlehandedly save the planet one rusty sign and daggy lamp at a time.
