Enoggera Creek after the Floods: View IV
Following the floods in 2022, the path of Enoggera Creek drastically changed. Large dumping of light, grey rocks and pebbles from Enoggera Reservoir deposited along the creek altering its path.
Areas that were once teeming with wildlife are now narrow and shallow, extending its banks and increasing its harshness.
The hatched lines indicate where fencing was destroyed and mangled by the debris forced down the creek. Pushed into awkward spaces along the blue line.
The native grasses that now line the banks of the creek with both creamy and lilacky flower stems are dotted along the blue creek line in all directions to highlight the chaos and devastation of the flood waters.
Acrylic, pencil, thread, ink on watercolour paper
