I’m so excited to finally share Golden Hour, a collaborative exhibition I’ve been working on alongside the wonderful Vanessa Wallace. This collection is truly my "antidote to the daily grind," and I can’t wait for you to experience it at Wild Canary.
When you walk through the doors, I want you to feel that instant "exhale"—the kind of peace that comes with a perfect Autumn afternoon. My goal for these pieces was to capture a sense of quiet nostalgia and the warm, fuzzy feeling of being home. Whether it's through my signature mismatched geometry or Vanessa’s moody, familiar still-lifes, we wanted to create a space that makes you feel grounded and deeply present.
By focusing on haphazard domestic beauty, the simple joy of a sun-drenched vase or a garden flower, this show is a reminder to slow down and find magic in the messy details of the everyday. It’s about that beautiful transition from the energy of the day into a total sense of stillness. I hope these works leave you feeling refreshed, a little more joyful, and reconnected to the small moments we usually rush past.

A World of Our Own
Lost in the magic of quiet contemplation, a comfortable and well-worn chair is the perfect spot for some reading and relaxation by the fire.

Sun Came Early one Monring
A collection of my favourite things on the kitchen bench, waiting for the next batch of baking. Sourdough perhaps?

The Amber Room
(in real life colour is less fluorescent)
Bursting with energy, the Amber Room is both charged and primitively moody, depending on the time of day and one's state of mind.

Love Nest, Nestled
Created as a companion to "Heart's Alright" this scene prepares us for an itimate connection away from the distractions of modern life.

Heart's Alright
Created in conjunction with "Love Nest, Nestled", the painting locks us into a state of mind that invites connection and comfort, right at the heart of what is Home.

Nights Stronger than the Moon
Capturing the moodiness and transformational time of Dusk, this asked me for more deeper and darker tones. The hand-woven chair adds enough complexity to balance the stillness of the night.

Quietly Softly, Moments Mend
Created in conjunction with "Quietly Softly, Perfect Pause" the comfort contained in a cup of tea can truly mend all maladies.

Calling me Home
A quiet chair next to a made bed in late afternoon is calling its occupants Home. There are treasures to be found in the comfort of a home-made bedspread.

Softly throught the Window
The comfortable slowness of a good novel, a cuppa and a fringed throw blankie makes lazy afternoons worthwhile.

At My Table (R)
I do make lots of tea, but my favourite is coffee made in a cafetiera, shared with friends for brunch. The waist of the pot hangs over the painting to sit nicely on the frame.
.Quietly Softly, Perfect Pause
The partner to "Quietly Softly, Moments Mend" the benefits of a daily pause before the kids came home from school was one of my "non negotiables". It's a memory I love revisiting.

At My Table (L)
This is the left-hand side of the "At my Table" story. Holds its own as a celebration of the greenery that persists during colder months when most flowers are dormant. Greenery can be sculptural and serve as a centrepiece on the dining table.
I would love to know which is your favourite ahead of the launch date. Drop me a comment below or use the Contact page to find out more.
