Papercrafts Festival Goodness

I did it!!!!
I did RISE to the occassion and so happy for the wonderful ladies who took to the challenge with me!
All the niggling doubt and uncertainty surrounding the preparation for a workshop like this, was dispelled within the first hour of the first workshop.
I produced 2 samples for the workshop. These 2 canvases are made using the same kit.

"moody" sample
"bright" sample

Thanks must also go to my FABULOUS and generous sponsors, without whom, the outcome would’ve been quite different. {click on image to go to their website}

Helmar adhesives
stamps by Stamp It
Craft Queen ribbon
Kaisercraft rubons and rhinestones
Chroma (for Jo Sonja paints)
paper flowers from TLC Crafts

I also sourced excellent materials from these local businesses:
Art Shed Brisbane
Riot Art & Craft
Pack It In
Reverse Garbage

And here are the ladies in action! {very messy play!}

I was terrified that these mostly scrapbookers wouldn’t embrace the freedom of expression that comes with mixed media. Some looked totally unconvinced, but at the one-hour-mark I could see them opening up to the creative possibilities in front of them. I hope they can translate some of the techniques they learnt onto their layouts.

And so I have 2 of these stamp sets left!

To have one of these for yourself, just link a pic of your finished canvas to the comments section below BY WEDNESDAY 29 FEBRUARY MIDNIGHT and I will randomly draw 2 winners.

  1. Oh! I can vouch that I made it (my hands are the first in your photos) however I gave my canvas away to a lady at work the very next day. She needed it more than I did and I was privileged to bless her with it.
    I wish that I’d remembered to take a photo though.
